PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT

1. Mechanical Test Lab

24 February 2026

Requiring Activity: DLA Product Test Center Division, Mechanical Lab (VTM), located in

Columbus, Ohio. Contracting Activity: DLA Contracting Services located in Columbus, Ohio.

2. Introduction

This is a description of the DLA Product Test Center Division, Mechanical Lab, VTM, requirements for the procurement of a Circular Geometry Machine (CGM). It is the intent here to clearly define all required performance characteristics. In generating this statement, our objective is to end up with a CGM which expands our overall testing capability of inspecting round parts, in both accuracy and efficiency. Our general objective is to minimize any impact on the DLA Product

Test Center Division, Mechanical Lab, VTM, operations and our customers as a result of this procurement, especially with regards to test cycle time. This system will decrease time required to inspect round parts and remove any human errors possible with current measurement.

3. Background

This machine would increase VTM’s measuring efficiency and accuracy, help improve measuring turnaround time, and replace the current obsolete CGM. Most importantly procurement of this machine will increase our current CGM measuring capacity. Not procuring this piece of equipment would leave VTM with an obsolete CGM.
