Attachment 2: TARGETS II
SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
I. OBJECTIVE:
The objective of this requirement is to provide Air Force Combat Arms personnel with three pre-printed targets in accordance with AFMAN 36-2655 for rifle, carbine and pistol qualification. We are requesting: 1) Pistol Air Force Qualification Course (AFQC) Practice target; 2) the Pistol AFQC Evaluation target, and; 3) the Rifle/Carbine target in accordance with the below characteristics.
II. OVERALL DESIGN (SHAPE):
1. View reference on page 3 of this document.
2. Designed in the silhouette of the human torso from the belt line to the top of the head with the arms down by both sides of the body.
3. The target facer shall have the contour of the head and shoulders.
4. Specifically, the silhouettes must meet the same dimensions (40” H x 19.5” W) of Military E-Type Silhouette NSN 6920-00-600-6874.
5. Pistol AFQC Practice target: has two white circles; one 6” on the head and one 10" on the torso.
6. Pistol AFQC Evaluation target: has two grey circles; one 6” circle on the head and one 10” on the torso.
7. Rifle/Carbine AFQC target: has three white circles; one 6” circle on the head and two 10” circles on the torso.
III. CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS:
1. The weight of the paper should be a minimum 60lb or 89 GSM
2. The paper color for all targets is Olive Drab Green (PMS 567)
3. The weight (width) of the circle lines should be between 1/16” to 1/32”.
4. The width and brightness of the white circles must enable the shooter to clearly see the circles at a distance from 3 meters up to 25 meters.
5. The width and brightness of the grey circles must be dark enough for instructors to identify the grey line while scoring, yet light enough the shooter cannot clearly see it at a distance from 3 meters.
6. Pistol AFQC Practice and Evaluation targets:

a) Center a 6-inch circle in the head of the target with the top of the circle 3 inches below the top of the target.
b) Center a 10-inch circle on the target with the top edge of the circle 13-1/4 inches from the top of the head of the target.
7. Rifle/Carbine AFQC target:
a) Center a 6-inch circle in the head of the target with the top of the circle 3 inches below the top of the target.
b) Two 10” Circles –
(1) First Circle – slightly higher and to the left, where the outside edge of the circle is 1.25” from the left edge of the silhouette, the bottom edge of the circle is 16.25” from the bottom of the silhouette, and the number “1” also in white centered in the circle.
(2) Second Circle – slightly lower to the right, where the outside edge of the circle is 1.25” from the right edge of the silhouette, the bottom edge of the circle is 8.5” from the bottom of the silhouette, and the number “2” also in white centered in the circle.
(3) The first and second circle numbers "1" and "2" should be Times New
Roman font and 4 inches tall. The shooter should be able to clearly see the numbers at a distance up to 25 meters.
IV. PACKAGING AND QUANTITY:
1. Targets shall be boxed in quantities of 500 targets per box.
V. ORDERING AND SHIPPING:
1. The vendor is required to accept Government Purchase Card (GPC) payments for decentralized ordering.
2. Vendor shall have mechanism to facilitate individual orders from each unit location.
3. Vendor must accommodate shipping to all Security Forces Unit locations on the attached Excel sheet.
VI. REPORTING
1. The vendor shall provide the Contracting Officer and the Security Forces customer with a report of all purchase made under the resultant vehicle each month by the 7th business day of the next month. At minimum the report shall include contractor information, ordering location, name of installation
