2.0 Background

This is a service contract for janitorial services. All sites in the Grandfather West Zone are in the area surrounding Old Fort in McDowell County, North Carolina. These are popular sites for recreation use including hiking, biking, and camping. Vault toilets are prefabricated concrete toilet buildings that do not have running water. Some sites have adjacent water spigots that can be used for cleaning, and those are noted below. All vault toilets have a trash can within the building – that trash is in addition to the outside bear-proof receptacles. Bear proof trash receptacles are heavy metal trashcans. While some units are attached (double or quadruple cans), each area that holds a trash bag is considered one receptacle for the purpose of this contract.

The Government will award a firm fixed price contract.
