About this file

This is a Statement of Work from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service for agency membership support.

The scope of work involves supporting Forest Service membership in the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO) for 2026. IUFRO is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that develops science-based solutions to forest-related challenges. The Forest Service has maintained membership since 1929, which enables employees to participate in, influence, and direct research across all forest science fields. This membership provides access to 15,000 IUFRO scientist members from 630 member organizations and supports research aligned with the Forest Service Chief's priorities, including forest management, silviculture, operational safety, forest products, bioenergy, and forest policy and economics.

The statement of work specifies that no technical requirements, deliverables, government-furnished materials, travel arrangements, key personnel identification, security requirements, data rights specifications, or Section 508 compliance standards are applicable to this engagement. The contractor's primary obligation is to facilitate Forest Service membership, which enables agency employees to participate in and lead research, activities, and task forces under the IUFRO organizational umbrella.
