About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for tree identification and maintenance at what appears to be a federal recreation or park facility. The document identifies 44 trees requiring services organized into three categories: 10 full removals (6 with stump grinding), 34 deadwood pruning operations (10 of which include structural pruning), and associated site-specific work.

The SOW details specific work requirements for each tree by location and condition. Removal work involves cottonwoods, mulberries, a catalpa, and Lombardy poplars at various locations including the amphitheater, picnic areas, camping sites, orchards, and residential quarters. Several removal sites contain embedded metal requiring careful handling. Deadwood pruning operations span multiple tree species and locations, with structural pruning required for trees exhibiting lean, lopsided canopies, trunk splits, and interfering branches. Special considerations include avoiding damage to seating benches, sheds, bathroom facilities, and roofs at various locations; managing limited access at the orchard requiring hand-dragging of felled trees; and improving light by removing limbs from neighboring trees. High-priority work includes pruning four ash trees outside apartments with deadwood hanging over roofs and four ash trees requiring deadwood removal. The document includes photographs of each identified tree showing current condition and specific problem areas requiring remediation.
