About this file
This document specifies water and sewer service requirements for Goodfellow Air Force Base, effective June 2026. The services encompass five distinct service areas with detailed specifications for points of delivery, pipeline sizing, metering, and quality standards.
For potable water service at the main Goodfellow Air Force Base, the contractor must provide 1,300 gallons per minute at minimum 40 pounds per square inch gauge pressure, with an estimated daily maximum demand of 514,000 gallons and annual consumption of 187,539,000 gallons. Four metering points are specified with delivery locations identified by meter numbers (70441334, 70438212, 70441332, 70441333), with pipeline sizes ranging from 6 to 8 inches. Recreation Camp Lake Nasworthy requires a separate potable water service with 100 gallons per minute availability, estimated daily maximum demand of 5,000 gallons and annual consumption of 1,860,000 gallons, delivered through two meters (61341884, 61341885) via 2-inch pipelines. All water must be clear, potable, and safe for human consumption per federal, state, and local standards, measured by designated meters.
Sewage service encompasses three locations: the main Goodfellow Air Force Base with three delivery points (West side Christoval Road, La Salle Drive/Ft Richardson Avenue, Penrose/Ft McKavitt) handling 187,539,000 gallons annually with sewer sizes of 8, 8, and 16 inches respectively; Recreation Camp Lake Nasworthy with 1,860,000 gallons annually via 1.5-inch diameter service; and Fire Training Pits with 1,860,000 gallons annually via 1.5-inch diameter service. Sewage billing is based on fixed monthly amounts calculated from average billed water consumption for December, January, and February, recalculated annually on March 1st. The contractor must receive, carry, treat, and dispose of all sanitary sewage in conformity with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
