About this file
The attached document is a detailed technical specification for the Georgeville Arsenic Treatment System Well Drilling project, a cooperative effort between the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation and the Indian Health Service. The specifications cover the comprehensive requirements for drilling a community water supply well, including detailed instructions for well construction, casing, screening, development, testing, and water quality analysis. Key technical requirements include drilling a single-cased well with a minimum final yield of 350 gallons per minute, installing an 8-inch well screen, conducting step-drawdown and constant-rate pump tests, and performing extensive water quality testing for 99 different parameters including disinfectants, inorganic and organic chemicals, microorganisms, radionuclides, and secondary contaminants.
The document provides extensive technical guidance for the well drilling process, specifying requirements for drilling equipment, casing materials (conforming to ASTM standards), well screen installation, grouting, development methods, and pumping tests. Contractors must comply with state licensing requirements, take precautions to prevent water contamination, and submit detailed documentation including well logs, test pump records, and comprehensive water quality analysis results. The project will be located on the Yakama Reservation, with work restricted to 7:00am to 7:00pm, and requires meticulous attention to technical specifications, sampling procedures, and water quality standards.
