C.1 Scope of Work:

Work will consist of repairing a road segment that has slumped down the embankment at ~MP

Two waste areas are anticipated for the project. The first waste area is located adjacent to the slide location and the second is approximately 1.15 miles from the slide location.

Special rock embankment will be placed in the excavation area followed by unclassified burrow material sourced from the excavated material, a 6” layer of roadway aggregate will be placed on top to provide the finished driving surface. See Sheet A2 of plans for detailed typical section.

Work will require hauling large quantities of material from commercial pit source(s), sorting and hauling excavated material, placing, and compacting special rock embankment, unclassified burrow material and aggregate under moisture-controlled conditions, and improving/maintaining haul route(s) and access roads on the National Forest Service Road System.

Minor clearing, grubbing, seeding, and erosion control work will be performed.

Finish grading, installation of culverts, slope grading, and misc. work will be included in the project.

The aggregate material must meet FS Gradation U or WYDOT Grade W ‘Gravel Road’ gradation (See Exhibit A: Gradation requirements for WYDOT Grade W ‘Gravel Road’ and FS Gradation U aggregate) at the end of this section. Arrangements must be made with local commercial sources to supply the quantity of material requested, and that the material can meet gradation requirements of this contract.

NFSR 285 – Wiggins Fork Work shall consist of roadway reconditioning for ~3.0 miles, see plan set and FSSS for detailed specifications.

NFSR 504 – Parque Cr Work shall consist of roadway reconditioning for ~4.2 miles. One cattle guard cleaning is anticipated and will be flagged by CO prior to work. Work shall also address slide repair at ~ MP 4.2, see plan set and FSSS for detailed specifications.

C1.1 Traffic Control:

Traffic control will be required on this task order (for Base items and Option Items). A traffic control plan that complies with the 2009 MUTCD will need to be submitted for approval by the CO at the preconstruction meeting. The traffic control plan will need to be approved before work can start. Traffic Control is a subsidiary obligation of the Contractor and is indirectly paid by line item ‘151.01 Mobilization.’

Post construction signs and traffic control devices in conformance with MUTCD and Forest Service EM 7100-15.

C.5 Contract Time:

Work shall be completed by September 30th 2025, subject to such extensions as may be authorized.

C.5 Government Furnished Material:

There are no Government furnished materials.

C.6 Work Plan and Schedule:
