About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) outlines requirements for creating three specialized Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Eddy Current (ET) calibration standards for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. The standards will be fabricated using 70/30 Copper Nickel alloy tubing, with precise prefabricated defects at specific locations and dimensions. Each standard (Handheld ASME Type, Handheld EDM Mill Flat, and Handheld EDM 360-Degree Ring) will include varying wall thinning grooves, flaws, and tube support rings at different percentages and configurations.

The vendor (identified as Zetec) will receive government-furnished materials including 30ft of 0.625 x 0.049" CuNi tubing and 6 brass tube support rings. Their responsibilities include placing prefabricated defects into the materials as specified, supplying NIST traceable certification reports with conformance details and as-built dimensions, and shipping the finished standards back to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. The performance period begins immediately after award and receipt of government materials, with an expected turnaround of 8-10 weeks. The project is part of a sole-source solicitation (N3904025Q1044) for NDT and ET calibration standards.
