About this file
This file contains four technical photographs documenting honeycomb structures and flow straighteners, which appear to be part of a Large Cavitation Channel facility requiring cleanout services. The images show a 25'x25' wall of hexagonal tubes with approximately one million small honeycomb tubes measuring 0.25"x0.25"x19" each, displayed in both full view and detailed closeup shots.
The final image depicts flow straighteners consisting of twenty-five 5'x5' sections of 4"x4"x24" square tubes, with curved turning veins visible on the right side. The documentation notes that these curved turning veins will complicate scaffolding installation during the required maintenance work. The photographs appear to be technical documentation to help contractors understand the scope and complexity of the cleaning work required for this naval facility component.

Honeycomb in full showing 25’x25’ wall of hexagonal tubes
Honeycomb closeup of a 5’x5’ section
Honeycomb closeup showing scale of 0.25”x0.25”x19” hexagonal tubes. There are approximately one million (1,000,000) tubes in the honeycomb.
Flow Straighteners, showing several 5’x5’ sections of 4”x4”x24” square tubes. There are twenty-five (25) 5’x5’ sections on this side. Notice the curved turning veins on the right side of the photograph. The turning veins will make erecting scaffolding more complex.
