The wireless base station must support a minimum of five headsets simultaneously and interface with the department's existing Motorola All Band APX 8500 mobile radios. The radio interface cable must be a minimum of 4 feet in length.

Performance requirements include removal and professional disposal of the old wired system, installation during normal working hours (0700–1600, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays), one-hour training for four personnel on system operation and basic troubleshooting, and a one-year manufacturer warranty on all equipment plus a one-year warranty on installation labor. The contractor must complete a final inspection and acceptance test that includes visual inspection of workmanship and functional testing of every headset and its integration with the Motorola radio, with final acceptance granted only after all three vehicles pass inspection and testing to the government representative's satisfaction.
