About this file
This is a technical schematic diagram depicting a gas chromatography system configuration for analytical laboratory use. The diagram illustrates a multi-column, multi-detector setup designed for simultaneous analysis of different sample types using helium and nitrogen carrier gases.
The system comprises four primary injection/analysis pathways: V1 connects to a sample vent and auxiliary detector (A3C4WE-TGA), V2 branches to Column 2 (a 12' x 1/8" HSD 80/100 Silco column) with an auxiliary detector (A3C6WE-TGA) and receives helium input via Aux 1 HPM, V3 feeds into a CP6581 column oven (5m x 0.53mm Ultimetal column) with an auxiliary detector (A3C4WE-TGA) and includes a solenoid valve (ZBNV1) with helium input via Aux 2 HPM, and V4 connects to Column 1 (a 12' x 1/8" HSD 80/100 Silco column) with an auxiliary detector (A3C6WE-TGA) receiving nitrogen input from an EPC (Electronic Pressure Controller) with a Front Packed and Purged Inlet. The system includes dual detectors: Column 2 terminates in an N2 M.U. with EPC control feeding a Front FID (Flame Ionization Detector), while the Column Oven outlet connects to a PDHID (Pulsed Discharge Helium Ionization Detector) with helium supply via TGA-R-30F80P. An auxiliary valve (UMTC-4CSD10MWE-TGA) is positioned at the system header with a gas sample output line.
