About this file

This document is a Customer Training Course Description for a Vertical Lift Module (VLM/VCM) Series XP C3000 Maintenance Electrical/Mechanical Training course. The two-week training program will be held at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine, with sessions running from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and limited to six customer personnel per class. The course objectives include safety awareness, understanding machine principles and operation, identifying component functions, reading electrical schematics, troubleshooting, and performing maintenance and repairs.

The training curriculum spans five days, covering topics such as machine overview, workstation and extractor devices, storage mechanisms, electrical documentation, major electrical components, control drawer devices, safety loops, component replacement, and maintenance procedures. Participants will receive a certificate of completion, but are restricted from performing unsupervised maintenance on warranty-covered machines. The course explicitly notes that machine control software is not covered, and technical support must be routed through an authorized Kardex Remstar dealer. Manuals are included with the training, and the course is specifically designed for the Shuttle (Vertical Lift Module) with serial number TBD RS650/XLD700.

Disclaimer:

Participants in our training program will receive a certificate of completion. Participation in the training program gives customers the knowledge to perform maintenance on machines under warranty that they are trained on if directly supervised by a Kardex Remstar certified technician. Any attempt to do so without supervision on a machine under warranty may result in the loss of warranty coverage. Of course, sometimes repairs need to be done by the customers trained to do this, any work on machine should be told and explained to their dealership as soon as possible and decide if a certified dealer technician needs to check the work done. The participation in the training program does not qualify the participant to call Kardex Remstar directly for technical support. This must be done only through an authorized Kardex Remstar dealer.

Kardex Remstar reserves the right to cancel or reschedule training for future dates.
