About this file
This document is a Brand Name Justification form from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for a Thermo-Reflectance Probe Station. The justification specifies a requirement for a Microsanj brand thermo-reflectance hardware and software system that is compatible with existing systems currently in use at NIST. The specific solicitation number is NB672010-25-01853. The critical research need involves examining integrated devices and circuits under high power conditions for microelectronics and advanced communications applications. NIST argues that using a different or non-compatible system would result in significant time and monetary costs associated with replacing existing equipment.

BRAND NAME JUSTIFICATION
Requirement. NB672010-25-01853 BLDR Thermo-Reflectance Probe Station
This is a brand name justification for Microsanj brand thermos-reflectance hardware and software systems. The required probe station must be compatible with existing thermos-reflectance hardware and software manufactured by Microsanj currently in use by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. This capability is required for critical research on the performance of integrated devices and circuits under high power conditions for microelectronics and advanced communications applications. Utilizing a different or non-compatible system would represent a significant time and monetary cost to NIST to replace all existing systems currently in use.
