About this file

This is a detailed bill of quantities and work specifications for a construction project involving sewer line installation and site restoration at Villa Taverna. The project encompasses 16 line items organized into four major categories: Safety Costs, Demolition/Backfilling/Transportation, Sewer Line, and Paving.

The Safety Costs section allocates €2,000.00 as a lump sum for all site safety measures, including temporary electrical installations, perimeter fencing, pedestrian walkways, and compliance with Legislative Decree No. 81/2008. The Demolition, Backfilling, and Transportation section includes removal of existing porphyry cobblestone paving with careful cleaning and sorting for reuse, demolition of concrete floor substrates with separation of steel reinforcement, trench excavation to 2.00 meters depth, backfilling with compaction to 95% Standard Proctor Density, material handling via mechanical lift, and waste transport to authorized landfills with proper EWC/EER coding and documentation. The Sewer Line section specifies supply and installation of uPVC pipes (225mm diameter, PN 16, per UNI EN 1401) with multiple joint options, sand bedding and covering, reinforced concrete protection screeds, prefabricated concrete inspection pits and manhole extensions per UNI EN 1917, ductile cast iron manhole covers per UNI EN 124 Class D400, and management of utility interferences including potable water, electrical, LAN, and drainage systems. The Paving section requires reinstatement of porphyry cobblestone paving using recovered stones with new stones to supplement damaged or insufficient units, laid on sand-cement bedding with joint sealing, mechanical compaction, and surface regularity within ±3mm over 3 meters, with specified cure periods before traffic reopening. All work includes materials, labor, testing, and required documentation; pricing is presented as lump sum amounts for each line item.

- Preparation and levelling of the bedding layer;

- Cutting and adjustment of cobblestones around tree bases, manhole covers, kerbs, and changes in gradient or level;

- Mechanical and/or manual compaction ("beating") of the laid cobblestones to ensure full bedding contact and surface regularity;

-Sealing of all joints with cement grout — a semi-liquid mixture of sand of suitable grain size, cement, and water in appropriate proportions — to stabilize the cobblestones, bond them firmly to one another, prevent weed growth, and discourage insect nesting;

- Final cleaning of the paved surface upon completion.

The finished surface shall comply with a planarity tolerance of ±3 mm over a 3-metre straightedge and shall be suitable for heavy vehicle traffic loads.

A curing period of no less than 48 hours shall be observed before the reinstated surface is reopened to light vehicle traffic, and no less than 7 days before heavy vehicle traffic is permitted.
