About this file
This document is an Affirmation of Business Status Certification template for a Department of Defense (DoD) Other Transaction (OT) Agreement related to the Revolutionary Fibers and Textiles Consortium (RFTC). The template requires companies to provide key business information including SAM registration status, CAGE code, contact details, and their classification as either a Nontraditional Defense Contractor, Nonprofit Research Institution, Small Business, or Traditional Defense Contractor. Companies must also describe their significant participation in the project, detailing specific contributions and their importance to the overall prototype project, such as supplying new technologies, improving performance, reducing costs, or increasing project efficiency.
The certification template is part of a broader DoD Manufacturing Technology Program initiative to re-establish Manufacturing Innovation Institutes (MIIs) in the Advanced Fibers and Textiles technical area. The program aims to create manufacturing research infrastructure by fostering partnerships between government, industry, and academia, with a focus on Manufacturing Readiness Levels 4-7. The consortium will be managed through an Other Transaction agreement under 10 U.S.C. 4022, with potential Project Agreements utilizing either research or prototype project authorities to advance manufacturing technologies and processes.
