About this file
This is a project description document for the WB US-10 Ramps B&D project located at the Bay City Road Exit 129 in the City of Midland, Bay County, Michigan. The project involves the construction and reconstruction of westbound US-10 ramps at Exit 129, with work including drainage improvements, pavement construction, traffic control, and related site work. The scope encompasses both Ramp B (loop ramp) and Ramp D (diamond ramp configuration), requiring coordination with existing highway infrastructure and local roadway connections. Specific deliverables include grading, base course preparation, asphalt paving, drainage systems installation, erosion control measures, and temporary traffic management during construction. The project is managed through a Project Management Consultant (PMC) structure, indicating third-party oversight of design and construction phases.
The project is funded through Michigan state transportation resources and is subject to standard state contracting procedures and prevailing wage requirements applicable to public infrastructure projects. All work must comply with Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) standards and specifications. Contractors must be licensed to perform highway construction work in Michigan and demonstrate experience with similar ramp reconstruction projects. The project includes standard provisions for bonding, insurance, and contract performance requirements typical of state-level transportation infrastructure contracts.
