About this file
This document is the USMC Recruiting Facility Brand Guidelines (Revision 4, October 2012), which provides comprehensive specifications for fixtures, furniture, and design elements in Marine Corps recruiting facilities. The guidelines cover detailed requirements for various components including media flat-screen displays, media stands, workstations, chairs, file cabinets, lockers, glass doors, and lighting fixtures. Key specifications emphasize a consistent aesthetic with colors predominantly in black, red, blue, and putty/silver tones, focusing on clean, unadorned designs appropriate for a military business environment.
The document outlines precise technical specifications for each item, such as workstation dimensions, chair types (recruiter chairs in red, visitor chairs in black), file cabinet characteristics, and lighting requirements. Specific details include recommendations for LCD TV sizes (42" or 22"), media stand dimensions (approximately 4' wide, 1'8" high), locker construction (18g sheet steel, minimum 15" x 18" x 60"), and track lighting placement and power requirements. The guidelines are designed to ensure uniformity and brand consistency across Marine Corps recruiting facilities, with an emphasis on functional, professional, and militarily appropriate design elements.

Articulated bracket mount for 22" flat-screen LCD TV Arm mount for 22" flat-screen LCD screen
42" flat-screen LCD TV Wall mount for 42" flat-screen LCD TV media flat-screen display An LCD screen provides the best visibility in most lighting conditions. Based on the size of the recruiting facility engagement area, install either a 42" or 22" flat-screen LCD TV. Both LCD types can be sourced locally.
The larger flat screen is usually placed on a stand, but either version can be wall-mounted when space is limited. The small screen can be mounted on an arm to allow it to double as a computer monitor or to be positioned for best media viewing.
Sample specifications:
• ENERGY STAR-qualified
• Panel type: active matrix LCD
• Cabinet color: black, gray, or silver
• Size for RSS: 42"
• Size for PCS: 22" for wall or arm mount
Flat-Screen Mount Recruiting facility locations with very limited floor plans can mount the flat-screen LCD TV on a wall. Smaller flat screens can be mounted on a wall or partition using an articulated bracket mount.
Both types can be sourced locally.
The movable mount allows the smaller flat screen to double as a computer monitor or to be positioned for best media viewing.
Sample specifications:
• Color: black
• Size for RSS: holds 42" flat screen for wall mounting only
• Size for PCS: holds 22" flat screen for wall or arm mounting
