STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)

FOR

CHAPEL PEWS

AT

COLUMBUS AIR FORCE BASE, MISSISSIPPI

7 June 2023

1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Unless otherwise specified herein, the contractor shall provide all management, labor, transportation, equipment, tools, materials, and other items necessary to replace pews.

1.1. Place of Performance: Columbus Air Force Base Chapel, building 712.

1.2. Requirements

Ground Floor of Chapel: 24 Pews at 13 Feet 2 inches long, all with fold down kneelers with the exception of the back two positioned pews nearest the exit. Chapel Pews are divided into 2 sections (12 pews per side) within the sanctuary.

1.2.1. Specific Requirements

The contractor will provide brochures, catalogs, or other documentation showing all options in appearance and functionality that may be chosen to match the specifications listed in this SOW, as well as any options not listed. The contractor will secure the removal of the current pews and disposal properly. The 14 FTW/HC will utilize these resources to choose pew design, wood stain color and fabric options. All furniture shall be made with cabinet grade hard wood plywood and solid oak or comparable with a stained finish. The pew body will be solid oak with contoured back and cushioned seat.

Additionally, the pews will have hymnbook racks with communion cup holders manufactured from solid oak. The pews will have a solid oak kneelers with cushioned and upholstered kneeling pads. Particular styles of each specification above or any other specifications required will be coordinated with the 14 FTW/HC prior to purchase.

1.2.1.1 Colors

All wood items will be stained and upholstered with colors approved by 14 FTW/HC.

1.2.2. Special Requirements

Contractor must be able to gain base access through 14 SFS.

1.3. PRODUCT WARRANTY

The contractor shall provide a warranty on the pews and kneelers required under this Statement of Work. Defective components and parts shall be repaired or replaced no later than 30 days from notice of defect. This includes any damage done during shipment, delivery, and/or installation. Repair and replacement shall be provided at no additional cost, including freight and labor. Normal wear and tear is exempt. The contractor shall repair or replace any damage done to existing furniture or facilities during delivery, removal and installation.

1.4. Government-Furnished Equipment/Services

There will be no government furnished property or services provided for this effort.

1.5. Hours of Operation

1.5.1. Normal Working Hours.

The Contractor shall perform all services under this SOW between the hours of 0730 to 1630, Monday through Friday, except on Federal Holidays or when the government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar government-directed facility closings. The Contractor must at all times maintain an adequate workforce for the uninterrupted performance of all tasks defined in this SOW when the Government is not closed for the above reasons.

1.5.2. Federal Holidays

The Contractor is not required to perform services on Federal holidays below:

a. 1 January (New Year’s Day)

b. 3rd Monday in January (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day)

c. 3rd Monday in February (Presidents Day)

d. Last Monday in May (Memorial Day)

e. 19 June (Juneteenth)

f. 4 July (Independence Day)

g. 1st Monday in September (Labor Day)

h. 2nd Monday in October (Columbus Day)

i. 11 November (Veterans Day)

j. 4th Thursday in November (Thanksgiving Day)

k. 25 December (Christmas Day)

l. Any other day designated by federal statute, executive order or presidential proclamation.
