About this file
This is a Statement of Work for the procurement of a Hexagon Romer Arm Package for the 846th Test Squadron at Holloman Air Force Base, dated 28 January 2026.
The contractor shall deliver one (1) Hexagon Absolute Arm with controller package and supporting equipment within 120 days after receipt of order (ARO). The arm must meet stringent measurement performance specifications for both 6-axis and 7-axis accuracy configurations, including maximum permissible errors ranging from 0.012mm to 0.072mm depending on measurement type and axis configuration. Hardware requirements include operating temperature range of 5 to 45°C, storage temperature of -30 to 70°C, IP54 protection rating, 110-240V power requirements, and accuracy resolution to 6 microns with scanning capability to 39 microns. The specific hardware configuration required includes the H00045551 Hexagon Absolute Arm V3P 7-Axis, AS1 Kit, certified length standard, mounting adapters, controller, dust cover, probes, software, and wireless connectivity package. Additional required equipment includes a magnetic base with mounting ring, portable precision carbon tripod, universal power supply holder kit, tripod transportation case, and a portable base station with accessories. Deliverables must be sent to 704 TSS/XPL at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico 88330-7850. Government acceptance testing will occur within 10 business days of delivery and will verify all hardware and documentation delivery without damage, review manufacturer's Certificate of probing accuracy in compliance with ISO 10360-12, and confirm successful power-on and functional operation of the system.

Statement of Work for
Hexagon Romer Arm Package at the
846th Test Squadron
28 January 2026
1.0 PURPOSE
The 846 TS’s primary test capability is the Holloman High Speed Test Track (HHSTT) where they utilize rocket powered sled trains to simulate flight like environments and scenarios with the control and recovery of a ground-based system. The HHSTT requires a Hexagon Romer Arm to meet customer tolerance requirements. This Hexagon Romer Arm will provide increased precision, validity in challenging environments, scanning of dedicated targets, and direct surface measurement.
