About this file
This is a Statement of Work for the USAF Band of the Golden West requiring the procurement of audio mixing equipment. The contractor shall provide two (2) Yamaha DM7-EX 120-Channel Digital Mixers, each including a CTL-DM7 Control Expansion module. The equipment must meet specific technical specifications including an internal dual power supply, Rivage PM series dynamics processors with FET limiter and Diode Bridge Compressor, 120 mono input mixing capacity, 48 mix buses, 12 matrix mix buses, 2 stereo buses, and 2 cue buses. Additionally, the mixers must have 32 analog inputs, 16 analog outputs, 2 AES/EBU outputs, twenty-eight motorized 3.94" touch-sensitive faders, two 12.1" high-resolution multi-touch screens, and one 7" high-resolution multi-touch screen. The equipment must support 96kHz and 48 kHz sample rates with DANTE network capability (144 x 144 @ 96kHz) and USB-C 18x18 audio interface compatibility. Required features include Dan Dugan Automixer firmware, AI Naming Assist, DAW remote function, split mode, time code in, AI Assist functions, and compatibility with Yamaha software including DM7 Editor, StageMix, Console File Converter, MonitorMix, and ProVisionaire Control/Touch.
The contractor must also provide a PROX LIVE XS-YDM7EXDHW flight case with doghouse and rolling casters designed for the specified equipment, one-year manufacturer warranty (12 months), and all freight, handling, and labor charges. The delivery date is December 1, 2026, with delivery to USAF Band of the Golden West, 551 Waldron Street, Travis AFB, California 94533. The point of contact for post-award coordination is TSgt Katherine Salmons at 707-424-1159. The justification emphasizes that the Yamaha equipment maintains compatibility with existing Yamaha stage boxes, network switches, and Dante-enabled accessories already owned by the Band, resulting in savings exceeding $20,000, and that no other brand or model can meet these integrated capabilities.

Statement of Work
For
USAF Band of the Golden West
Description: The USAF Band of the Golden West Unit requires (2) Yamaha DM7-EX 120 Channel Digital Mixers which will include the (2) CTL-DM7 Control Expansions. The purchase of this console maintains compatibility across the USAF Band career field, providing essential continuity and reduced spin-up time after PCS. It will significantly increase mission effectiveness for the Band of the Golden West by eliminating unnecessary work around solutions that reduce efficiency and by allowing the organization to have essential equipment for meeting Commander expectations while operating in time-constrained environments. Purchase will provide the tools necessary to reliably curate industry standard mixes for professional performance and increase operational efficiency during high-tempo missions.
This single brand name (Yamaha) is compatible with the Yamaha stage boxes, network switches, and other Dante enabled equipment and accessories that the Band of the Golden West already owns, saving the Air Force more than $20K. No other brand or model would be able to meet these capabilities.
The Band of the Golden West performs 250 times annually for audiences numbering 1.5 million, and provides corporate AV, live sound, and broadcast support for multiple high-visibility events annually. Their audiences consistently include high level civilian and military dignitaries, and the professionalism presented in their performances is a direct reflection of all the men and women currently serving in the Air Force. They produce recordings, video presentations, and performance live streams that are heard and seen throughout the entire world. The equipment used in these productions must allow them to perform and capture the highest possible musical and audio product.
