About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details the Bureau of Land Management's Gila District/Safford Field Office requirements for bulk gravel delivery to improve primitive roads in the Gila Box Riparian National Conservation Area (RNCA). The project involves sourcing, transporting, and stockpiling 1,800 tons of 3/4"-1" aggregate base course (ABC) crushed rock at designated GPS coordinates (primary: 32°53'30.45"N, 109°29'1.42"W; secondary: 32°54'20.04"N, 109°29'19.19"W) between September 1-October 1, 2025.

The supplier must utilize commercially licensed drivers to transport the gravel, offload materials without environmental damage, and use a front-end loader to consolidate stockpiles. The aggregate must meet specific gradation requirements outlined in the Maricopa Association of Governments' Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, including being free of topsoil and vegetation. The contracting officer is Rachel Henriques (rhenriques@blm.gov), and the project aims to improve road safety for public and Bureau employees in the RNCA.
