About this file
This document is a Specifications Attachment for a federal contract requirement issued by the USDA. The requirement is for one (1) High Throughput Screening System, specifically a Molecular Devices FLIPR Penta System or equivalent, to be delivered on a Firm Fixed Price, FOB Destination basis. This is not a Time and Materials contract.
The system must meet the following salient characteristics: process a full 96-well plate in approximately 3 minutes; deliver high-speed kinetic fluorescence imaging at up to 100 frames per second for real-time GPCR activity measurement; include integrated automated reagent dispensing compatible with kinetic imaging workflows for high-throughput chemical library screening; provide high-sensitivity, low-noise optical detection for reproducible kinetic readouts; maintain full compatibility with existing GPCR screening assays and workflows, including Receptor-i technology for peptide-based biopesticide discovery; and utilize a fast, high-sensitivity camera for stable, reproducible kinetic readouts. The contractor is responsible for installation and assembly of the equipment, must provide a minimum two-year warranty, and must supply training in equipment operation.
