About this file
This document is a specification attachment for a federal contract opportunity issued by the USDA for procurement of a High Throughput Screening System. The requirement is for one (1) Molecular Devices FLIPR Penta System or equivalent brand, procured on a Firm Fixed Price, FOB Destination basis. This is explicitly not a Time and Materials requirement.
The system must meet specific technical salient characteristics including the ability to process a full 96-well plate in approximately three minutes; deliver high-speed kinetic fluorescence imaging at up to 100 frames per second for GPCR activity measurement; include integrated automated reagent dispensing compatible with kinetic imaging workflows for high-throughput chemical library screening; provide high-sensitivity, low-noise optical detection for reproducible kinetic readouts; maintain full compatibility with existing GPCR screening assays and workflows, including Receptor-i technology for peptide-based biopesticide discovery; and utilize a fast, high-sensitivity camera for stable, reproducible kinetic readouts. The contractor is required to provide installation, assembly, and training in equipment operation as part of the deliverables.
