Washer and Dryer Rental and Maintenance Services Grand Teton National Park
RFQ #140P1426Q0055
ATTACHMENT One (1)
Statement of Work (SOW)
This requirement shall consist of the supply, installation, and maintenance and repair of 34 washers and 34 dryers at various locations in government owned or government leased buildings in Grand Teton National Park. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, parts, tools, supervision, transportation and materials necessary to ensure continuous and reliable washer and dryer services throughout the period of performance. All the washers and dryers shall be free to operate or “non-vending”, this means the machines are not required to accept coin or paper currency (American dollars). The listing attached provides park locations where machines are to be installed and maintained. It also lists the number of washers and dryers at each location. Where stacked units are shown, the number given is the total number of machines, not the number of stacks. Contractor shall be able to move, add or remove units to other park locations as obsolete housing is removed and new housing areas come online to be added to the cost of the contract in the same manner in which other machines and services are provided. If necessary, additional units can be added at the same rate or units removed if deemed no longer necessary.
The contractor shall provide, install and maintain heavy-duty type washers and dryers in the quantities and locations listed where the term heavy duty is used to describe typical commercial use of that found in an apartment complex or laundromat. The units and locations indicated as seasonal use will need to be drained and winterized in the fall and prepared for service in the spring. All new washers and dryers shall be Energy Star compliant, and the washers shall be low-flow for the least amount of water consumption.
Present washers do not need to be replaced, but as new ones are purchased, they are to be Energy Star compliant. Machines will comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety and electrical standards. Tubs and drums shall be metal with porcelain coating or stainless; machine tops shall be porcelain. Washers and dryers shall be any standard color. Washers shall be heavy-duty type, at least 14 pound and 3 cubic feet capacity, with minimum 1/2 hp motors. Washers shall have three different selectable wash levels and three different water temperature choices. Dryers shall be electric, comparable sized heavy-duty types and have at least 3 timed cycles including normal, no heat and permanent press. Contractor shall service mechanisms as outlined in manufacturer specifications and all requests for repairs resolved within 48 hours. Machines with three or more service requests shall be replaced with a similar or new machine. Contractor shall not provide replacements that are older or less efficient models than outlined above.
Current machines will be removed by the current contractor and new machines will need to be installed by the new contractor.
Each location for machines shall have contact information to report service problems. Contractor shall provide a contact phone with message machine capable of accepting service problems on a 24 hour 7 day week basis. Service requests received Sunday-Thursday shall be corrected within 48 hours. Requests received Friday-Saturday shall be corrected by Tuesday evening. When service repairs are complete at a location, other units at the same location shall be monitored for possible maintenance. Monthly invoices shall provide a history of service corrections made during the month.
