About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details requirements for a mobile blast and paint booth system for C-130 aircraft wheel wells. The system consists of three portable booth configurations for the nose, right-wing, and left-wing wheel wells, with separate blast and paint booth systems. Each booth must be mobile, mounted on heavy-duty casters with wheel locks, have manual leveling jacks, and feature rubber gaskets to create an airtight seal with the aircraft. The booths require specific design specifications including minimum 18-gauge steel construction, powder coating, explosion-proof LED lighting, viewing windows, control panels with safety features, and dedicated ventilation and media recovery units.
The system requires comprehensive technical capabilities, including cross-draft ventilation with minimum 100 FPM face velocity, multi-stage filtration systems, fire suppression, and compliance with various federal standards (OSHA, NFPA, EPA). The contractor must provide complete documentation, including operations and maintenance manuals, calibration procedures, and a training plan for operators, maintenance personnel, and hazardous waste operations staff. The procurement includes delivery, installation, testing, and training at Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) in Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, with multiple design review stages and a warranty period for the equipment.
