About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for roofing removal, inspection, and replacement services at three remote Forest Service locations on the Coconino National Forest in Arizona. The project encompasses work at the Mt. Elden Fire Lookout Tower, East Pocket Fire Lookout Tower, and Fernow Cabin. The contractor must remove existing roofing materials, conduct thorough inspections of underlying structures, and install new roofing systems that meet Forest Service specifications and applicable building codes. The work includes site preparation, material disposal, weather protection during work phases, and restoration of surrounding areas to their pre-project condition.

The solicitation (127EAX26Q0074) is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) under FAR Part 12 for commercial items and is a Total Small Business Set-Aside with a size standard of $19 Million under NAICS code 238160 (Roofing Contractors). The Department of Agriculture Forest Service is the contracting agency. While specific response and award dates are not detailed in this SOW excerpt, contractors should expect requirements for detailed quotations including labor, materials, equipment, schedule, and insurance documentation. The remote locations and weather considerations are critical factors for project planning and cost estimation.
