Offutt AFB Field House TACFIT Flooring Replacement

NEXGEN WT#

General:

This is a non-personal service contract to replace the flooring in the TACFITarea in the Offutt AFB Field House. The government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the contractor who, in turn is responsible to the government.

1.1 Description of Services/Introduction:

The contractor shall provide all management, tools, equipment, supplies, and labor necessary to ensure proper replacement of the flooring in the TACFIT area of the Offutt AFB Fieldhouse, approx. 6000 sq. feet, building 321. The contractor shall accomplish all floor removal, and replacement tasks to meet the requirements of this Performance Work Statement (PWS).

1.2 Background:

Offutt Air Force Base, NE (OAFB), located near Bellevue, Nebraska, is home of the 55th Wing, USSTRATCOM and the 557th Weather Wing, among others. The Offutt AFB Field House is the largest gym in the DOD and serves more than 10,000 joint servicemembers through fitness and social endeavors on a weekly basis. Currently, the TACFIT flooring is un-level and multi-surface, making it difficult to move weight plates and use for PT. Replacing the flooring would make the space safer for airmen and better for unit PT.

1.3 Objectives:

Provide a level, 3/8inch rubber floor surface that expands the length and depth of the TACFIT area, including under the rowers and up to the soccer pitch. This level flooring will allow patrons to roll weight plate stacks to their work station, perform plyometric exercises with less risk of injury, and will allow power lifters to safely drop bumper plates. Furthermore, the rubber flooring under the rowers will minimize rower movement / drift when being used.
