PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Naval Special Warfare Group TWO (NSWG2) SEAL TEAM TWO ST2
HIGH-BAY CAGE FOR HRST / CAST STORAGE
1. BACKGROUND
1.1. SEAL Team TWO has a BANAIR AWC Storage System within SEAL Team TWO’s high bay. The BANAIR system within Building 3841 (B3841) is configured in the Military Cargo Rack Laydown configuration and is two (2) levels. Currently, the storage system has 12 of the 14 first level bays open within the storage system. Two bays are currently caged out. The 12 bays are utilized to store equipment and consumables during the team’s inter-deployment training cycle (IDTC).
2. OBJECTIVE
2.1. SEAL Team TWO requires one storage cage in B3841 high bay mezzanine. Cage shall consist of galvanized chain link cage doors with chain link siding and roofing. (3 sides, one side to be on top of cage). Cage, siding and roofing must meet required specifications outlined in paragraph 3.0 DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT. Cages must be durable and secure to ensure SEAL Team TWO Air ops and N35 personnel can safely and reliably store HRST / Cast gear, equipment and supplies within cage.
2.2. Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation and disposal necessary to provide and install the single mezzanine storage cage
3. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT
3.1. Product Name: Chain Link Cage Doors with Siding and Roofing
3.2. Description and Capabilities: One galvanized chain link storage cage with sliding cage doors with chain link siding and roofing installed in SEAL Team TWO High-Bay Mezzanine.
3.3. Specifications/Salient Characteristics:
3.3.1. Each cage must be made with 8 gauge galvanized chain-link fencing with finished gray to match existing cages in B3841 high bay.
3.3.2. Structural members of cage shall match grey coloring and be securely anchored to high bay concrete east facing wall and secured by U-bolts to mezzanine flooring.
3.3.3. Dimensions per cage shall be approximately 24’ 8” L x 11’ 2” W x 9’ H.
Cage length and exact Individual length, roof and back wall of cage shall contour around any facility structural features to maintain full enclosure and containment of cage.
3.3.4. Sides of this cage must feature a sliding or (barn style gate), that opens away from concrete or east facing wall. The gate will close flush against the east-facing wall and will open by sliding westward along the full length of the 11’ 2” enclosure.
3.3.5. Each cage door (x 2) must have lock that can be secured.
3.3.6. A locking mechanism must be included in sliding gates to allow cage door to be locked with standard/commercial padlocks, or by equivalent means.
3.3.7. Each cage must have 8 gauge galvanized chain-link fencing on gate, siding and roofing. Dimensions provided in 3.3.2.
3.3.8. Cage doors must be uniform in appearance.
3.3.9. Galvanized chain-link fencing shall match existing cages already installed in B3841 high bay to be uniform in appearance.
3.3.10. Contractor shall be responsible for the removal and disposal of any material waste and previously installed storage features to exclude any structural features of the existing storage system.
