PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT

FOR THE RENOVATION OF

B52 INTERIOR

AT

ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, OKLAHOMA

1. SCOPE:

Providing and installing new clerestory windows and ceiling tiles in Building 52.

2. DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

a. Window types are referenced according to Attachment A page A-27

i. Clerestory has eight (8) Type A and two (2) Type E

b. Replace all clerestory window and frame assemblies with new window and frame assemblies with the following characteristics:

i. Maximum U-factor of 0.294 𝐵𝐵𝐵𝐵𝐵𝐵 ℎ𝑟𝑟∙𝑓𝑓𝐵𝐵2∙°𝐹𝐹

ii. Maximum Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) of 0.175

iii. Frame color shall be dark bronze

iv. Interior and exterior trim to conceal gaps and provide transitions

v. New blocking and fasteners

vi. Water-tight construction

vii. Glazed no less than ¼ in. nominal polycarbonate or laminated glass

c. Replace five (5) damaged ceiling tiles shown in Attachment C

3. PROJECT REQUIREMENTS:

a. Building will be occupied, and overhead work safety precautions must be taken to protect occupants

4. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

a. All work performed on this project shall meet all local, state, federal, Air Force and

DOD codes.

b. The Government depends on the existing as-built drawings provided by previous

Contractors for the accuracy. The Contractor is advised to field-verify all required information before providing a proposal.

c. The Contractor shall be required to accomplish various other small items of incidental work which may become necessary to complete the project in a satisfactory and workmanlike manner meeting the approval of the contracting officer or their designated representative. The Contractor shall include all such items of work as part of their detailed estimate for the work to be performed.

d. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, travel, equipment and supervision necessary to perform all work required for this project.

e. Damage to the building, utilities or any other element during the execution of this project shall be repaired and restored to its original condition by the Contractor provided workers, skilled in trades involved, at no additional cost to Government.
