About this file
This is a Vendor Solicitation Sheet for the procurement, layout design, delivery, assembly, and installation of approximately 165 modular, ergonomic workstations and supporting office furniture across three facility areas. The contractor must provide all CAD visual proposals, labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and technical expertise, including design and space-planning services to optimize workstation layouts based on provided room schematics while ensuring compliance with local safety, egress, and accessibility standards.
The three facility areas have the following dimensions: Room 1 (81'8" x 57'3" with 22'6" height and optional mezzanine adding 32'5" x 40" elevated space—two separate layouts required), Room 2 (32'5" x 41'0"), and Room 3 (53' x 39'10"). All workstations must meet ANSI/BIFMA X5.5 and X5.11 certification standards, be engineered for 24/7/365 continuous duty, and feature neutral-colored high-pressure laminate worksurfaces with sealed edges rated for fluid resistance. The workstations must include height-adjustable sit-to-stand systems with dual motorized electric drives (22–48 inches vertical travel), soft-start/soft-stop acceleration, microprocessor controllers with digital displays, anti-collision safety sensors, and noise levels not exceeding 45 dB(A). Weight capacity requirements are minimum 250 lbs dynamic load and 400 lbs static load, with all motorized components UL Listed (UL 962 or UL 1286). A minimum ten-year comprehensive, non-prorated warranty is required covering structural elements, motorized mechanisms, and worksurfaces.
Three specific workstation types are specified: Type 1 (Analyst Workstation) requires minimum 66-inch surface width with flat displays only in quad (4) 27-inch configuration (2x2), 1920x1080 resolution minimum, 95% sRGB color accuracy, maximum 5mm bezels, and dual isolated under-desk power strips with shielded data conduits for network separation; Type 2 (Operations Center Workstation) requires minimum 66-inch surface width with multiple curved displays (1500R–1800R curvature) in dual 27-inch configuration, and three programmable height presets for shift transitions; Type 3 (Leadership Workstation) requires greater than 72-inch surface width with expanded depth, curved displays (1500R–1800R curvature) in dual 27-inch configuration, and integrated lockable three-drawer filing pedestals with unique keying and at least two master keys. All monitor mounting systems must feature universal VESA compliance (75mm x 75mm and 100mm x 100mm), independent height/tilt/pan/rotation adjustment, synchronized motion with the desk surface to maintain constant eye-to-display distance, and dynamic stability without visible shaking or slippage. Cable management must accommodate full vertical desk travel without tension or pinching, provide physical segregation for classified and unclassified networks per TEMPEST standards, and feature integrated cable trays hiding power bricks with only a single master umbilical cord exiting to floor data/power boxes.
Regulatory compliance requirements include 29 CFR 1960.34 (federal ergonomic hazard mitigation), DoD Instruction 6055.01 (human factors engineering integration), UFC 4-510-01 and UFC 4-141-10 (military facility design criteria), AR 385-10 (Army Safety Program), NAVOSH/OPNAVINST 5100.23 (Navy occupational safety), and AFI 91-203 (Air Force occupational safety). Supply chain requirements mandate Trade Agreements Act (TAA) compliance for all delivered components, electrical motors, controls, and structural elements to be manufactured or substantially transformed within the United States or designated TAA-compliant countries, and NDAA Section 889 compliance certifying that no electrical controllers, motorized components, or communications equipment contain microchips, processors, or hardware from covered foreign manufacturers.

B. Height-Adjustable Sit-to-Stand System
• Adjustment Range: Minimum 22 inches to 48 inches of vertical travel, measured from floor to top of work surface.
• Mechanism: Dual-motorized electric drive system with soft-start/soft-stop acceleration.
• Control Interface: Microprocessor controller with digital height display.
• Safety Features: Integrated, highly sensitive anti-collision safety sensor that immediately halts and reverses motor travel if an obstruction (e.g., filing cabinet, chair arm, human limb) is detected.
• Noise Level: Noise emissions during vertical adjustment must not exceed 45 dB(A) at a distance of 3 feet.
C. Weight Capacity
• Dynamic Load (Moving): Minimum 250 lbs capability under continuous motorized adjustment.
• Static Load (Stationary): Minimum 400 lbs structural capability.
D. Electrical Safety & Certification
• Listing: All motorized components, control units, and integrated power distribution units (PDUs) must be UL Listed (UL 962 or UL 1286).
E. Materials and Finishes
• Core Material: High-density industrial particleboard or medium-density fiberboard (MDF) core.
• Work Surface: High-pressure laminate (HPL) with a non-reflective, matte finish to prevent glare from overhead facility lighting. Raw wood grain surfaces are prohibited.
• Edge Banding: Solid, impact-resistant, PVC-free urethane-poured or heavy-duty vinyl edges, permanently chemically sealed to prevent delamination from liquid spills, heavy use, or harsh chemical disinfectants.
• Color Profile: Neutral palette (grey, charcoal, or matte black).
