About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the rental of a 100-ton air-cooled chiller temporary unit at Homestead Air Reserve Base (HARB), Building 180, in Florida. The initial contract award is for a 12-month rental period with three one-month renewal options exercisable in FY27 if necessary. The contractor must supply and install all equipment, including 30 feet of water pipe connections and 40 feet of electrical connections from the temporary chiller to the building.

The contractor's responsibilities include delivering the chiller to the base, providing installation and final connections, verifying existing chilled-water piping flanges, connecting the temporary chiller hoses to existing piping, and ensuring proper operation per manufacturer recommendations. The contractor must respond to any operational failures within 4 hours of notification. The government will handle disconnecting the existing chiller and establishing power to the temporary unit, including setup of a transformer if required; however, the contractor must submit electrical specification sheets with the quote to confirm whether a transformer is needed. The contractor must also comply with all Homestead Air Reserve Base regulations regarding security, safety, fire, traffic, and personnel clearance. All contractor personnel requiring base access must be vetted through the Visitor Control Center at least 72 hours before arrival and must possess valid REAL ID documentation; non-U.S. residents and permanent resident personnel require enhanced vetting procedures that may take up to two weeks.
