About this file
This technical specification document from the State of California Department of Fish and Wildlife details the requirements for a 24-foot aluminum boat and trailer for use by Wildlife Officers in patrolling California rivers and lakes. The specification outlines a comprehensive procurement for a commercial heavy-duty, center console boat with a T-Top, featuring an inboard jet propulsion system and a tandem axle trailer. The boat must be 24 feet long (±1 inch), constructed from marine-grade aluminum, and equipped with extensive specialized law enforcement and marine navigation equipment including advanced electronics, camera systems, communication tools, and safety features.
The boat and trailer must meet rigorous technical specifications, including specific hull construction requirements, engine performance standards (minimum 400 HP), and a wide array of accessories such as GPS chartplotters, thermal imaging cameras, VHF radio systems, and integrated electronic networks. The trailer specifications include requirements for axle configuration, braking systems, lighting, and load capacity. The procurement appears to be funded through the California state government, with the boat designed for specialized wildlife enforcement operations. The technical specification provides extremely detailed requirements for potential vendors, covering everything from material composition to specific electronic and safety equipment installations.
