About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details a federal contract for Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) Cab Glass Fabrication issued by the FAA Logistics Center. The contract is an Indefinite-Delivery type with a one-year base period and four one-year option periods, seeking a qualified architectural glass fabrication company to provide replacement Cab Glass units. The glass units are highly customized and manufactured to order, including Insulating Glass Units (IGUs), Laminated Glass Units, and Monolithic Glass in various sizes, thicknesses, and compositions such as clear and low-iron annealed glass.

The contract requires the contractor to provide submittals within 5 working days, fabricate 12" x 12" samples within 10 working days, and complete glass product fabrication within 25 working days after receiving notice to proceed. The glass must meet FAA specifications and industry standards, with provisions for on-demand government inspection at the factory and delivery sites. Additional requirements include crating and transportation of glass units to the FAALC/MMAC in Oklahoma City, with options for extras like argon gas filling and non-rectangular shapes. The government will have the ability to order 2-4 glass units per order, up to 16 units, with potential for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) field support on an as-needed basis.

Air Traffic Control Tower Cab Glass Fabrication Contract

SOW

Introduction/Background:

The FAA Logistics Center (FAALC) located at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking to establish an Indefinite-Delivery type contract with a one-year base period and four one-year option periods with an experienced, technically qualified architectural glass fabrication company to provide Airport Traffic Control Towers (ATCT) replacement Cab Glass units.
