REQUEST FOR QUOTATION – 140P8625Q0035

John Deere 5100 (4 Wheel Drive) Service Repair

NPS – Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GOGA)

Scope of Work (SOW)

Background – Tractor is a 2018 John Deere 5110 with a Tiger 18’ boom mower attached. The unit is used to mow road shoulders along highways and back country fire roads for safety, (see Photos 1 & 2).

While mowing in the back roads, the machine was put in a position that caused the force of the torque to crack the gear housing and lose all the oil. The operator did not notice right away and ran the machine causing the gear for the four-wheel drive to shear off.

(see Photos 3, 4, & 5).

The John Deere Tractor is located at 1107 Bunker Road, Sausalito, CA 94965.

Scope of Work -

• Remove cab to inspect transmission for damage. Reinstall cab.

• Replace 4WD case, install new seals, bearings, and new gears. Replace damaged transmission 4WD drive gear on differential drive shaft. Original drive shaft will be provided. (see Photos 6 & 7).

• Service transmission and filters.

• Change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, and air and cab filters.

• Fill any fluid (that is not at full level) according to manufacturer specs.

Ensure John Deere Tractor and all components are working properly (full operational), and no leaks are present by operating/running machine to operating temperature.

• Final inspection will be made by the Contracting Officer’s Representative.

Submit cost estimate of any additional repairs needed to Contracting Officers Representative (COR) and Contracting Officer (CO). Works for additional repairs should not commence without the approval from the NPS Contracting Officer.
