About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the manufacture and delivery of security hoods for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP). The security hoods are used to cover Stack and Rack Carts during the drying process after currency printing, allowing printed sheets to cure for a minimum of 72 hours while remaining secure. The hoods must be manufactured from breathable, strength material with adequate open weave to permit airflow, be resistant to rips and tears from normal working conditions, and include perforated security belts and straps for securing to carts without pulling the cloth or strapping. Finished equipment shall be delivered to the Fort Worth, Texas Currency Facility located at 9000 Blue Mound Road, Fort Worth, TX 76131.

The contractor must deliver two security hoods within 60 days of contract award for an initial two-week testing and acceptance period, with subsequent deliveries following an agreed-upon schedule on a lot delivery basis until all hoods are received. The contractor is responsible for providing a comprehensive warranty outlining coverage details and a point of contact for warranty issues. The BEP reserves the right to inspect all deliverables and will evaluate contractor performance through random sampling per Acceptable Quality Limits, customer complaint investigation, and final acceptance after 60 days of use without problems. Any non-conforming hoods shall be returned at contractor expense and replaced at no cost to the government. The contractor must immediately notify the Contracting Officer and Contracting Officer's Representative of any delays, technical deviations requiring prior written approval, or quality audit findings, with corrective action reports due within 30 calendar days of notification. Deliveries are not accepted on Federal Holidays or during the BEP's year-end shutdown (December 25 to January 1) except under extenuating circumstances with advance arrangement.
