CCTV systems will be installed to ensure thorough surveillance coverage, complemented by the necessary groundworks, electrical work, and network connections to support the access control systems. Backup batteries and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) will be provided to ensure continuous operation, along with failsafe mechanisms for manual gate operation during power failures. The gate must be crashed rated with passive barriers and have a tamper protection alarm connected to and able to annunciate Base Defense Operations Center.
Road markings must include applicable stop bars/stop lines both exterior and interior to the gate for safe operation of opening/closing area. The area requires a paved walkway from turnstile gate to nearest paved sidewalk adjacent to building 237. Contractor to provide Operator and Maintenance manuals to all parts and equipment after installation.
1.3.2. Gate 18/ Tolley Cobbold:
At Gate 18/Tolley Cobbold, will include perimeter gate turnstile with mechanical function to allow one person through at a time, with keypad access control for entry and exit will be installed, alongside an automated swing gate equipped with keypad access control for entry on both sides of the road for UK and US spec vehicles. Constructed in accordance with UFC 4-022-01, Entry Control Facilities Access Control Points and UFC 4-022-03, Security Fences and Gates. The vehicle gate must be crashed rated with passive barriers. An induction loop and photocells will facilitate vehicle exit, with all required electrical work and network connections being established. This location will also benefit from backup battery/UPS systems and manual operation failsafe mechanisms. The gate must have a tamper protection alarm connected to and able to annunciate Base Defense Operations Center. Contractor to provide Operator and Maintenance manuals to all parts and equipment after installation.
1.3.3. Wastwater Treatment Facility:
The Wastewater Treatment Facility, the project will supply and install an automated cantilever gate featuring, keypad control for entry on both sides of the road, supported by CCTV systems to monitor entry and exit points.
