FOUNDATION REQUIREMENTS:This drawing shows the general arrangement required for the foundation of thismachine.Depth of foundation, placement and size of reinforcing steel to suit the loadbearing characteristics of the soil to be determined by customer. The foundation contractor must paint foundation with a liquid proof paintAFTER the installation of the machine to prevent the foundation from absorbingmoisture. The customer furnishes all foundation guards, shields, and chip deflectorsunless otherwise specified. The foundation contractor will route main electric, water, and air tolocations required in the foundation. All pipes and/or hoses requiring embedment into the foundation are to besupplied by the customer. All embeds required in the foundation for anchoring Ingersoll suppliedequipment are designed and furnished by the foundation contractor and are theresponsibility of the customer.Ingersoll will furnish leveling wedges, jack posts, anchoring hardware for themain machine.NOTES:All male foundation edges to be protected with anchored angle iron.Foundation plates may be made from welded sections.CONCRETE:1. Concrete material and workmanship shall be determined by civil engineer.2. Concrete for the main foundation block shall have a minimum ultimatecompressive strength of 4000 PSI at 28 days.3. Concrete for the remaining construction shall have a minimum ultimatecompressive strength of 4000 PSI at 28 days.4. All joints in the foundation work are to receive a water stop. 5. Replace existing slabs removed or broken during construction withmatching new 6" min. slabs. Cut edges of existing slabs for clean joint lines. At joints between new and existing slabs provide #6 x 20" smooth dowel @1' o.c., set 6" into existing slab. Maximum joint spacing between control/construction joints is 20'.Provide joint at all foundation corners.6. Main foundation block to be continuous pour. Contractor to have backupmethod to maintain pour in event of equipment problems.TOLERANCES: 1. Concrete flatness +/- 1/8"2. Flatness of embedded plates: +/- 1/8"3. Parallelism tolerance of embedded steel: +/- .08"4. Vertical tolerances: +/- 3/8" to concrete5. Vertical tolerances: +/- 3/16" to embedded steel plates

REINFORCING STEEL1. Bar bending and placement details shall be determined by civil engineer.2. All reinforcing shall be "Deformed New Billet Steel Bars", ASTM A615 plusASTM A615-82 (S1), Grade 60.3. Minimum concrete cover over reinforcement; (unless noted) a. 75 mm for concrete cast against soil b. 50 mm for all other concrete4. Spacing of reinforcement may be adjusted plus or minus 100 mm to clearembedded anchors in individual cases, otherwise add equal bars each side. Overall dimension divided by number ofbars shall not exceed the specified spacing.5. Minimum lap splice to be 36 diameters.6. Do not weld rebars, use binding wire

ADDITIONAL NOTES:All exposed metal parts must be electrically grounded. The customer must supply all items shown on foundation drawings, unless otherwise noted on print. All non concrete features are to be properly tied to parent foundation and good civil engineering practices are to be followed. The foundation is to be sealedagainst ground moisture by means of a plastic sheet. The customer provides Ground Connections, Wire end Electrodes at <= 5 Ohms as measured from the ground stud through the primary electrode separated by 6m ofearth. Additional grounds should be installed when necessary to insure that the impedance does not exceed 5 Ohms. The resistance measurement should be made in terms of a voltage-current relation, such as the current of a 110V 100 Watt light bulb. This drawing has not been checked by a civil engineering firm and may not be used for construction, unless the customer gets approval from a civil engineeringfirm accredited to work at the site where this foundation will be constructed.Dimensions that show mm and " shall be designed to the mm dimensions, the inch dimensions are rounded.

MAY 19TH 2021: KH: THIS DRAWING IS THE 1ST VERSION OF N00156-70-620. THIS DRAWING SHALL BEUSED BY THE FOUNDATION DESIGNER.IT IS INTENDED TO SHOW THE KEY DIMENSIONS AND FOUNDATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE MACHINE TOFUNCTION PROPERLY.UNTIL THIS DRAWING AND THE MACHINE LAYOUT HAVE BEEN FINALIZED AND APPROVED, REVISIONS WILL BENOTED HERE WITH A LIST OF CHANGES.ORIGINAL DRAWING CREATED IN CATIA, DRAWING UNIT IS mm. AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST IN OTHER FORMATSSUCH AS AUTOCAD.MAY 25TH 2021: UPDATE LAYOUT AFTER ON SITE VISIT, INDICATE NORTH, REFERENCE BUILDING COLUMNRR36. FOUNDATION, STATIC AND DYNAMIC LOADS: (note that all weights are stated in metric tons) FOR THE PURPOSES OF FOUNDATION CALCULATIONS, THE FOLLOWING SHALL BE VALID FOR THE MACHINE / WORKPIECE SLAB:The entire machine can accelerate at 2 m/s^2 in X direction. The entire machine weighs 75 ton, this is the weight of the columns and bridge plus the weight moving in Y direction.A total of 19 ton can accelerate at 2 m/s^2 in Y direction. This is the weight of the saddle plus the weight moving in Z direction.A total of 9 ton can accelerate at 2 m/s^2 in Z direction. This is the weight of the ram and the milling head and MELD module. The weight of the machine is distributed over two rails. As a total of 19 ton move in Y direction a possible imbalance from one side to the other results.A column therefore applies a load between 36 ton and 37 ton to the runways as the saddle moves from side to side. The force in one particular column is also not evenly distributed, depending on the direction of acceleration, additional loads are added or subtracted. The force into the front of a column can be as low as 6 ton and as high as 37 ton.The force into the rear of a column can be as low as 11.3 ton and as high as 21.2 ton.The runways distribute the machine load into the foundation over a length of 6 m, so slightly extending past the column base (4.4m).Static runways guide the moving mass and transfer the loads into the foundation. These runways weigh 15 ton per side. Each anchor point of these runways must support:120kN max. static load. The force into the end of the runways can be as high as 72 kN per side. The runways also may have internal stresses caused by the leveling. These stresses can cause forces into the anchors of +/- 10 kN. This would be superimposed to the load ofthe machine passing overhead. The center of gravity of the machine is as much as 1 m to the right and 1 m left of the centerline of the machine. The center of gravity of the machine is 8 m above floor level. The center of gravity of the machine is 0.40 m forward of the column centerline.

An additional force, not directly into the foundation but into the mezzanine structure stems from the drag forces of the X axis cable carrier, these forces are +/- 2000Newton in X direction. In case of an overtravel condition of the X-axis, a force of 72 kN can briefly be applied to each end of the runways.

The MACHINE/WORKPIECE workzone consists of the workpiece that gets located between the runways. The maximum weight of this tool is 100 ton and must be considered whencalculating the foundation thickness.
