About this file
The document is a Price Form (Attachment E) for RFB #241298, issued by the Wayne County Airport Authority for the Runway 4R-22L Rehabilitation project at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. The project involves removing and replacing approximately 31,000 square yards of Portland cement concrete runway pavement, including airfield lighting, jointing, grooving, maintenance of traffic, and pavement marking. The bid form includes 51 line items covering various aspects of the project, such as contractor quality control, erosion control, mobilization, safety measures, and specific pavement and electrical work.
The pricing structure is all-inclusive, with contractors expected to factor in all expenses including labor, travel, materials, and equipment. The total base bid is $535,000.00, with significant allowances for items like contract security services ($145,000), WCAA operational support ($100,000), and a concrete batch plant ($250,000). The Airport Authority reserves the right to adjust estimated quantities, and unit prices will be used for any additions or deductions. Travel expenses, including airfare and accommodations, are the contractor's responsibility and will not be reimbursed. The bid emphasizes that failure to complete the form correctly by the bid deadline will result in the bid being deemed non-responsive and rejected.
