About this file

This document specifies auditorium seating requirements for a federal contract opportunity. The government seeks forty-four (44) cloth auditorium seats manufactured by Irwin Seating Company, specifically the Marquee Model 51.12.56.4, with delivery and installation required. The seating layout consists of four columns of six rows and four columns of five rows, with a walkway between the third and fourth rows, and will be mounted to a flat concrete surface with previously installed carpet.

The seats must feature integral lumbar support with a 36-inch back height, durable tufted upholstery, fold-up seats, pull-out tables, and cup holders. Physical specifications include a No. 51 Marquee ergonomically formed padded back with 2-inch foam; No. 12 Ergo-Padded seat with ergonomic substrate and molded foam; 3/4 seat fold mechanism; No. 4 steel platform; veneer end panels with rounded corners; flat solid hardwood center and aisle armrests; and extra-large plywood core tablet arm writing surfaces laminated on two sides for all forty-four seats. All wood components must be maple with rotary cut grain and Irwin standard stain color, while metal components require Irwin standard powder coat color and plastic components require single Irwin standard plastic colors. The government acknowledges that ADA compliance may require a small number of chairs with movable bases and specifies that the minimum number of seats with movable bases should be used to satisfy ADA requirements. Chairs must be hard mounted to the existing floor to the maximum extent practicable.
