A. General: All work outlined below will be performed under a single contract.
B. Project Location: This project is located at Channel Islands National Park Ventura, California
C. Project Background: The project site on Santa Rosa Island of Channels Islands National Park is located off the coast of California approximately 50 miles west from Ventura, CA. The work site is in the developed area referred to as the Main Ranch on the northeast section of Santa Rosa Island that is accessible by ocean going vessels and twin-engine aircraft capable of flying over open ocean and landing and taking off on a short unpaved runway.
D. Project Scope of Work: The Work consists of the following: This project will have the final commissioning services performed for bringing the solar PV system with generator backup to full functionality. Included are the necessary deficiency corrections identified during the post-construction commissioning phase. The construction was self-performed previously by the NPS. The post-construction commissioning phase was previously carried out by a licensed electrical contractor.
A California licensed electrician or electrical engineer will perform the final commissioning services to bring the solar PV system with diesel generator backup on Santa Rosa Island on-line and fully operational. Included is addressing the deficiency corrections identified during the post-construction commissioning phase. This solar PV system with generator backup is designed to be left on and energized 24/7/365.
Under this contract, the contractor will complete the following tasks and requirements:
1. MOBILIZATION/DEMOBILIZATION: This item consists of all preparatory work and operations for all items under the contract, including, but not limited to those necessary for the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies, and incidentals to the project site and all other work or operations which shall be performed or costs incurred prior to beginning work on the various items on the project site. This item also includes bonding, permits, and demobilization cost. No more than 75% of this pay item shall be paid prior to demobilization.
2. DEFICIENCY CORRECTION: SOLAR PANELS.
