About this file

This Single Source Justification document details a simplified acquisition for a Radiological Detector Upgrade by the Air Force's 90 CONS/PKAB contracting activity. The procurement involves specific radiological equipment from Thermo Fisher and Pelican, including 4 each of RadEye B20-ER, RadEye Extension Handle, Alpha Blocker, and RadEye AB100; 2 each of RadEye Desktop Single Unit Charger, 9g and 100g Lutetium Test Adapters, and 1605 Air Case w/ TrekPak. The brand name requirement is mandated by DAFMAN 32-3001, with the 4FNRX Equipment Supply Listing specifying these exact brand names and part numbers without authorized substitutes. A Sources Sought was posted on SAM.gov, which generated multiple responses indicating capability to purchase these brand-specific items. The contracting officer determined on 09-Sep-2025 that only a single source is reasonably available for this acquisition.
