About this file

This is MRP Form 114, a federal real estate space requirements document completed by the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) for a Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) facility.

The facility requires a total of 8,765 square feet across multiple space types. Office space totals 5,438 square feet, including 1,372 square feet of private offices, 4,066 square feet for employee workstations (48 PPQ employees and 20 Ohio Department of Agriculture employees), a 213-square-foot reception area with ballistic glass, and a 124-square-foot copy/mail room. Additional support spaces include 38 square feet of general storage, 419 square feet of secured storage for program files and sensitive materials with door locks, a 604-square-foot conference/training room designed for 30 attendees with audio-visual equipment, and an 825-square-foot break room with tile flooring, double-bowl sink, upper and lower cabinets, garbage disposal, and appliances (microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker). A 77-square-foot server room/closet requires temperature and humidity controls compatible with manufacturer specifications, agency IT/telecom requirements, and security locks. Warehouse space of 1,411 square feet will support vehicle decontamination, equipment storage, tree climber gear storage, and 80 staff lockers, with 12-foot minimum ceiling height, exhaust fans (8000 CFM), triple-bowl sinks, hose bibs, laundry and mop sinks, forklift bay, and overhead doors with manual and electric openers. The facility requires 50 government vehicle parking spaces on-site, plus minimum employee and visitor parking of 76 and 6 spaces respectively within a half-mile walkable distance. Special security features include ballistic glass in the vestibule and reception areas, interior office door locks, and requirements to be assessed by APHIS Security Branch. Flammable and hazardous materials will be stored per the attached Health and Safety CATEX and eBinder Inventory Chemical List.
