About this file
This document is Addendum #1 for the Arnold and Moki Park Playground Replacement project issued by the City of Rifle, Colorado on March 22, 2024. The addendum provides clarifications and responses to bidder questions regarding the playground replacement request for proposal (RFP). Key project details include a total project budget of $350,000, excavation of playground pits to a 15-inch depth, and a planned completion date in the fall of 2024. The City will handle demolition and disposal of existing equipment and surfacing, and existing containment border timbers will be retained.
The addendum addresses multiple technical and procedural questions from potential bidders, including confirmation of pit sizes, surfacing materials (compacted aggregate subbase recommended), and site-specific conditions. No drainage issues are known at either park, and the sidewalk at Moki Park will remain unchanged. The City is seeking a proposed agreement that outlines the scope of work, contract terms, and duration. No union or labor requirements are specified, and the mobilization date is pending confirmation with the successful bidder. The procurement is structured as a best value solicitation, with emphasis on qualifications, experience, project performance, staff capabilities, and availability.
