1.3. Electrical Hardwiring: The Contractor shall provide all furniture to building electrical connections, i.e. base feeds, power poles and accessory items as needed to fit existing conditions. This work shall be the responsibility of the contractor awarded the furniture contract;
therefore, a licensed electrician will need to be retained for the work. The RFQ response shall include a separate quote for this work as shown in Attachment 1.
1.4. Project TR: The Technical Representative(s) (TR) for this project is shown in Table 1 of this document.
2. POST-AWARD VERIFICATION AND FINISH SELECTION
2.1. Post-Award Kick-Off (Verification) Meeting: After contract award and prior to finalizing the order, the contractor shall schedule a site visit to field verify and document all existing building conditions. During this meeting the furniture Contractor shall also coordinate all final finish, fabric, and color selections with the TR and/or the HNC Project Manager, USACE District office POC, as applicable. This verification meeting shall be scheduled by the Furniture Contractor with the TR and shall occur within two weeks after award.
2.2. Building Conditions: Furniture Contractor shall verify and document all existing building conditions and all product changes required due to field conditions. Examples of building conditions which may vary from those shown on drawings provided or interfere with the intended location or configuration of furniture include, but are not limited to, the following:
placement of wall-mounted equipment such as SIPR boxes, thermostats, fire extinguisher cabinets; window and door placement; varying column sizes; size and/or placement of build-outs for mechanical chases; coordination of millwork openings for appliances; dropped ceilings in storage areas where industrial shelving is to be installed; appropriate code clearance for sprinkler heads; data/comms locations (the vendor is NOT responsible for running, terminating and/or testing the data/comms).
2.3. Work Not in Place: Furniture Contractor shall identify and document all conditions where critical work such as cabinetry, millwork, dropped ceiling areas, SIPR boxes, etc., are not in place at the time of the kick-off meeting so that field dimensions and locations can be determined. These shall be reported to the TR and HNC Project manager if the missing work will not be in place in time for items impacted by these conditions to be ordered and delivered per contract dates, or if a second site trip is required to obtain this information.
3-30-2021 Attachment #3 – Statement Of Work Page 2 of 8

Examples of electrical conditions to be verified include, but are not limited to, the following: type, location and quantity of wall or flush-floor outlets for plug-in electrical systems; location, quantity and suitability of wall, ceiling or floor junction boxes for hardwired electrical systems; building electrical configuration (2+2, 3+1, etc.); requirement for sharing of neutrals.
2.5. Data/Telecom Conditions and Coordination: Furniture Contractor is NOT responsible for running, terminating and/or testing any data cables or telecom cables through any furniture items in this contract. During the post award meeting the contractor will verify and coordinate the data/telecom locations prior to placing the furniture order. Coordination with the end users, NEC and/or IT contractor shall begin during the post award meeting and then continue throughout the entire installation.
2.6. Documenting Conditions: Contractor shall submit written documentation of conditions that impact the furniture and the proposed revisions necessary to the HNC Project Manager, the TR and the HNC Contracting Officer for follow-up action. Include sufficient documentation, such as a description of the existing condition, field notes, photographs, drawings, wiring schematics, etc., to identify both the issue and the solution proposed.
Documentation of field conditions and issues shall be provided within five (5) days of the kick-off meeting unless otherwise coordinated with the HNC Project Manager. If no issues requiring action exist after the kick-off meeting, Furniture Contractor shall notify the TR and HNC Project Manager within (3) days of the kick-off meeting.

Actual material samples shall be provided; electronic samples or photographs of finish cards shall not be acceptable. Provide the number of different fabric/pattern/finish selections required in the Attachment 2 Furniture Items Description (FID) of the contract. Finish selections required per the FID requirements are those known at the time of RFQ and may not match actual building finishes selected. Therefore, samples of the entire range of colors available for each selection shall also be available at the meeting in case they are needed to coordinate with the final building finishes.
As part of this project a Comprehensive Interior Design (CID) may have been prepared that may provide insight into the color choices for carpet, paint and other finishes within this facility.
This document, or actual finish samples selected for the building, shall be requested from the TR or HNC Project Manager at the same time the field verification meeting is being scheduled with the hope that one of these will be available for reference at the time of the meeting.
