About this file

This is an attachment to a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) identifying eight eastern landfill facilities in West Virginia requiring services or maintenance. The document provides facility locations, geographic coordinates, and directional information for eight landfills: Berkeley County Landfill near Martinsburg, Buckhannon Landfill along County Routes 5/7 and 6/4, Capon Springs Landfill north of Capon Springs on Milk Road, Elkins Landfill west of the US Route 33 and Route 250 intersection, Hampshire County Landfill north of Romney on WV Route 28, Jefferson County Landfill in Kearneysville along Route 15/1, Morgan County Landfill in Great Cacapon on Milo School Road, and Petersburg Landfill south of Petersburg on U.S. Route 220. The RFQ designation is DEP26-53 LCAP East.

The document notes that Elkins Landfill contains an adjacent active gun range requiring special consideration, and both Jefferson County Landfill and Petersburg Landfill have transfer stations located on the roads providing access to the facilities. The attachment serves as a geographic and operational reference for bidders responding to the solicitation, establishing the scope of facilities that will be subject to the contracted services or maintenance requirements outlined elsewhere in the RFQ documentation.
