About this file

This is a bid spreadsheet for aquatic invasive vegetation control services submitted to a Florida municipality for Bid #26-0116. The project encompasses quarterly maintenance of stormwater areas across approximately 49 designated locations, with the number of sites subject to fluctuation based on permit expirations and new permits. Services include herbicide applications for nuisance and invasive vegetation control, treatment of emergent shoreline weeds and grasses, manual maintenance using hand tools and power equipment within buffer areas, removal of foliage and debris, littoral shelf maintenance, algaecide treatment as needed, and comprehensive maintenance reporting. The contractor is responsible for all water quality testing to ensure adequate dissolved oxygen levels before treatment and for obtaining and maintaining South West Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) permits, renewal inspections, and required recertifications. Pricing is structured as annual line items covering 30 designated service areas, with all costs including labor, supervision, travel, fuel, chemicals and herbicides, permits, disposal fees, and equipment.

The bid spreadsheet establishes pricing for quarterly scheduled maintenance services with all-inclusive pricing that accounts for labor, materials, equipment, and permitting costs. The contractor assumes full responsibility for SWFWMD compliance, water quality testing, and permit management across the portfolio of stormwater retention areas and ponds. The contract requires the contractor to provide all necessary chemicals, herbicides, hand tools, power tools including chainsaws, and specialized equipment such as clam trucks. Additional services such as routine water analysis and bacteriological testing may be required at the municipality's discretion to support the overall water management program objectives.
