About this file
This appendix contains construction drawings and photographic documentation prepared by the Maryland State Department of Education, Division of Rehabilitation Services (MSDE, DORS) for a home accessibility modification project designated as CS #26-18. The project involves modifications to a residential property located at 2301 Argonne Drive, Baltimore, Maryland 21218, to accommodate accessibility needs for a DORS client. The primary modifications include the installation of automatic door openers on doors leading from the mid-level landing to the basement/garage area and from the garage to allow vehicle access via a ramp. Additionally, a stairlift is to be installed on the right side of the stairs descending from the mid-level landing toward the basement level to facilitate vertical circulation within the multi-level residence.
The documentation illustrates the existing home configuration through multiple photographs showing the front entry, garage access, mid-level landing, and stairwell locations. The residence contains distinct levels including a basement level accessible via garage entry, a mid-level landing serving as a transitional space, and a main level reached by ascending stairs to the right. The closet accessibility is addressed through an alternate accessible double door entry along the hallway to the garage. This procurement is designated as a Certified Small Business (CSB), formally known as Small Business Reserve (SBR), set-aside, restricting bidding eligibility to qualified small business enterprises.
