About this file

This is a Vendor Accessibility Checklist document related to Colorado's Climate Policy Modeling contract opportunity, establishing digital accessibility requirements for vendors providing documents and digital content to the state. The checklist requires vendors to demonstrate compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level A and AA standards, including PDF/UA compliance for PDF documents. Vendors must answer five key questions addressing their accessibility commitment statements, ability to meet applicable success criteria, compliance assessment methods (including automated tools, manual testing, and screen reader software such as JAWS or CommonLook), capacity to provide compliance reports, and contact information for accessibility questions.

The document serves as a qualification and evaluation tool to ensure that all deliverables meet accessibility standards for individuals with disabilities. Vendors are expected to detail their compliance procedures and demonstrate that they employ recognized testing methodologies. The checklist references the Vendor Accessibility Guide and WCAG 2.1 standards as supporting resources for vendors responding to the requirement, establishing accessibility as a mandatory consideration in the selection and evaluation process rather than an optional feature.
