About this file

Appendix B is a document from the City of St. Petersburg, Florida, detailing the Minimum Acceptable Events and Level Types for the St. Petersburg Pier events management contract. The document outlines five event levels with specific minimum frequency requirements for each fiscal year: Level 1 events (36 per year) are free, low-cost events occurring multiple times monthly; Level 2 events (24 per year) are slightly higher-cost events occurring at least twice monthly; Level 3 events (4 per year) are seasonal events with extra amenities; Level 4 events (6 per year) are larger events potentially requiring entrance fees; and Level 5 events (2 per year) are the largest and most costly events that may encompass the entire Pier District.

The event levels are designed to provide a structured approach to event programming, with each level offering increasing complexity, amenities, and potential revenue generation. Examples of events include free monthly community gatherings (Level 1-2), seasonal festivals like Pumpkin Patch or Spring Festival (Level 3), quarterly events like Ocktoberfest or Santafest (Level 4), and annual large-scale events such as an Annual Pier Fest (Level 5). The document stipulates that any adjustments to the minimum event frequency require prior written approval from the City, ensuring consistent and predictable event programming for the St. Petersburg Pier.

Level of Events

• Level 1 Events: Minimum cost level and occur multiple times per month. These events are intended to be free to the public.

These events are intended to be free to the public.

These events may be free to the general public, but certain parts of the event may require admission to enjoy extra amenities. These events would encompass the entire Pier District and may activate surrounding areas. Example could be an Annual Pier Fest.

**Any adjustments to the minimum frequency per event level requires prior written approval by the City.
